Stammtisch Gatherings: Join us for our monthly Stammtisch meet-ups at Der Biergarten. These informal gatherings are a great way to practice your German, meet new friends, and enjoy some delicious German beer and food. Maifest Celebration: Maifest, or Mayfest, is a traditional German festival that marks the arrival of spring with vibrant festivities. This event features the iconic Maibaum (Maypole), beautifully decorated to symbolize the renewal of nature. Attendees can enjoy traditional German music, dance, and delicious seasonal foods. Our Maifest celebration takes place at the beginning of May every year, at the school grounds. It’s a perfect opportunity for families and friends to come together and experience the joy and warmth of German culture. Don’t miss out on the fun activities, including the traditional maypole dance, games for children, and a variety of food and drink options.

Oktoberfest Celebration: Mark your calendars for Sacramento’s biggest and best Oktoberfest celebration! This annual event is a highlight of our calendar, featuring traditional German music, dance, food, and, of course, plenty of beer. Join us on October 7-8, 2024, for a weekend of festivities that you won’t want to miss.

Cultural Workshops: Throughout the year, we offer various workshops that delve into different aspects of German culture. From cooking classes where you can learn to make traditional dishes like Schnitzel and Apfelstrudel, to history and literature seminars, there’s something for everyone.
