Sandra is half German and half American and grew up bilingual herself.  She was born in Wiesbaden, Germany to an American father and German mother. In 2001 when she was 9 years old (almost 10) she moved to the Bay Area, California. There she adjusted quite well to speaking English in schools and lost her German accent. However, she kept up her German through speaking with her mother and attending German school on Saturdays. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in German studies with minors in Linguistics and European studies from San Francisco State University in 2014. She worked as a preschool Teacher at the German International school in San Francisco before moving to Kiel, Germany. After she moved to Germany, she obtained a second Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Education Science at Christian-Albrecht Universität in 2019. After getting her BA in Kiel she worked as a Pädagogin/Case Manager in Germany for two years before moving to Sacramento, CA in December of 2021. She started working as a Case Manager in Sacramento in June 2022 until present and continues to enjoy her work and sees herself as a service provider for her clients. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exercising, and walking her German dog. She is also an instructor at Rise Pole Fitness!
